ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology

Call for Applications
Participants at the SCNP 2011 meeting in Oslo are eligible to apply for the third course of the ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology. This course will be held from 3-8 July 2011 in Oxford, United Kingdom. SCNP will nominate 2-3 delegates that will attend the course free of charge and have their travel and accommodation expenses subsidized.

Deadline for application is April 1st 2011.

Who can apply?
The candidates would be qualified psychiatrists within 5 years of receiving their defining qualification and are likely to become key leaders of the speciality in the individual countries.

The Congress venue is situated in the centre of Oslo, only 100 meters from the Central Station and the Express train from Oslo Lufthavn Gadermoen. The Airport shuttle bus stops in front of the hotel. It is close to Oslo's finest shopping, sightseeing and entertainment. The congress venue also has indoor parking facilities if you arrive by car.

Call for Abstracts

Abstracts presented at the 51st Annual Meeting of the Scandinavian College of Neuro-Psychopharmacology will be published in the online SCNP Journal 'Scandinavian Neuropsychopharmacology'.

Deadline for submission is March 15th 2010.

Who can submit?

Abstracts are open for submission by scientists independent of any relationship to the Nordic Countries in order to stimulate participation by internationally recognized scientists and secure a high scientific quality of the annual meetings as well as providing a fruitful international meeting place for young scientists.

Abstracts for Poster Presentation at the Annual Meetings of the SCNP can be submitted by both members and non-members of the SCNP.

The first authors of abstracts accepted must register and be present at the meeting in order to have the abstracts published in the journal and displayed as posters.

Guidelines to authors

Abstracts should be submitted on-line at the SCNP Abstract submission website.

Abstracts should include a maximum of 400 words and written according to the paragraphs mentioned at the submission site, i.e. title of abstract, author(s), text covering Background, Purpose/objective(s), methods, Findings/results and conclusion. Full mailing address of first author should appear in the contact information.

NOTE: Once submission have been completed, no further changes can be made to the abstract.

Members of SCNP, who are less than 35 years of age can apply for  'Janssen-Cilag Young Researchers Educational Grants'. Please indicate in topic box if you wish to apply.

SCNP Young Scientists can indicate interest in participation in the 'Young Scintists Symposium', where 6 Young Scientists will compete for an award of EUR 3000 for best oral presentation.

Evaluation

The abstracts submitted will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee who will decide if they are acceptable for presentation at the Annual Meeting. Abstracts may be rejected due to incomplete content or unsatisfying scientific quality.
