Katarina Meskanen
I am a clinical psychologist with academic interests. I graduated with good grades and received many honors and awards for my studies and master’s thesis. As a student I was very active in different student committee positions. Presently, as clinical psychologist I am specializing on eating disorders and working as an expert of psychology in a multiprofessional team, conducting psychological assessments and leading psychotherapeutic patient groups. As a young scientist I am doing my doctoral studies in the field of psychiatry and I am currently researching the effect of various psychopharmacological interventions on psychiatric symptoms, emotional processing, affective reactivity, memory, cognition and limbic reactivity in healthy volunteers and psychiatric patients. I see myself as an academic clinician and I am especially interested in combining my clinical psychological expertise with my academic interests in psychiatry.
